About the Author
Chelsea Brotherton
I have always had a love for food and cooking (thank you mom, grandma, and probably Bobby Flay on TV). Though I pursued other avenues professionally, getting a writing degree from A&M University- Corpus Christi and working in content writing and editing, I spend much of my free time in the kitchen. My kitchen is my absolute happy place; I've usually got some tunes playing, a drink near by, and, at minimum, a tap in my toes (if not a full on dance party).
My culinary interests tend to come in waves, like music in my life. I spent a summer obsessed with South American cuisine, making masa and dried chili everything you can imagine. Last winter I explored ramen types from different regions and spent weeks on perfecting their elements. There was that whole time with French mother sauces... I could go on.
Long story short, I like to explore food. I like to figure out where flavors go (and, sometimes, where they certainly don't go!), try new techniques, and create things that have never been in a recipe on paper.
This blog is not going to be about recipes; it's going to be about ingredients, flavors, and techniques. What did I Make? is going to be about exploring what's on my plates and how I got there, and urging you to hop into your kitchen and do the same.
