After literally no deliberation, I have decided to start another food blog!
I used to have a mashup gardening/cooking blog that I ran during college for a couple years (you can check it out here!) However, that didn't survive my moving to a new town, graduating college, and figuring out (tryin!) my place in the world thus far.
So here we are. This blog is going to be about documenting my journey in food; and I'm upset I didn't start sooner! I have a serious love for cooking, especially if there are people to cook for. I hardly ever use a recipe, and if I do it's a fusion of five or ten or a thousand recipes I read and digested to make my own.
I'm still not sure this is going to be a recipe blog; I rarely break out the measuring spoons (also the reason I seldom bake). I'll surely still work out ingredient lists and general instructions. But, moreover, I want this to be a source of ideas and inspiration. I hope for this space to urge someone (you?!) to get up and get in their kitchen, sans recipe. Learn about food, flavors, and techniques, try and fail (and fail, and fail), and, eventually, succeed!
Since I am throwing together this site entirely spur of the moment, I do not have fresh content ready to blow your minds away just yet. But I'm always cooking something, and I'm sure I'll be back soon with some tasty treats to show off. For now, though, I've included some solidly droolable food porn that I grabbed from my camera roll:
